The Sacramento River, Delta and its tributaries offer some of the finest fishing in the West. Starting in March Striped Bass make their way into the Delta and begin their journey upriver on their spawning run with the bulk of the run arriving in April.
There are multiple ways to catch these fish, and stripers offer a ton of action making great fishing for the entire family.
The Sacramento River covers a vast area, and every year conditions are different. When booking your trip we can give you our best guess at the area we will be fishing, but that can change depending on conditions.
In a typical year we start fishing for stripers in the California Delta, and then follow the fish upriver. Normal or low water years we will stay on the Sacramento River, while high water years we typically concentrate on the Feather River. As the run progresses we then follow the fish back down to the Delta.
Before your trip we will let you know where and when to meet us for your day of fishing.
When fishing we use a variety of techniques from trolling lures to using live minnows depending on the area and conditions.
